Film.com is already looking to Oscars 2010 and is interestingly pointing towards Public Enemies as potentially receiving Best Picture, Best Actor (Johnny Depp, Christian Bale), Best Director (Michael Mann). Who do you think will come out best, Depp or Bale? Probably Depp if he pulls the part off (maybe he is too sweet faced for this role?), but I think Bale is a superb melancholic actor.
There is no mention of an award for Cinematography and Editing, two strong areas brought to a Mann film. Having looked at the behind the scenes shoots, I think the Cinematography Oscar might be a goer!
